My sister got Isla her smash cake. Thanks sis, and this outfit which she got messy in so we did an outfit change.

Isla’s first birthday

I can’t believe we have a toddler on our hands! Where did one year go!? Everyone who is familiar with Mexican culture knows the 1st and 15th (quinceneira) birthday are kind of a BIG deal. LOL! I had to break this down to my husband, a few times. 😉 I wanted a ‘glam fiesta theme’ for Isla’s first birthday. I decided to make hot pink, orange, yellow, and green the main colors and to bring out the vibrant colors of mexico. For the other tables pictured above, I went with an orange table cloth and a beautiful hot pink table runner.

For food we did:

Tacos, salsa, rice and beans

Drinks:

Topo chico (mexican fave), Jarritos, Margaritas, Horchata

Desserts:

Mexican sweet bread, cookies, and cake(s)

I would highly recommend a fiesta theme for a boy or girl! The children and adults had SO much fun hitting the piñata. Or hey message me and I can help you plan it! Thank you to everyone who made this babe’s fiesta so special!
