Some of my favorite beauty products have been simple ones. I either go for a pretty lip color or a subtle rosy, cheek glow. A little color makes all the difference. I tend to keep my eyes bright and natural. Unless I’m getting all dressed up and going out, then I’ll kick it up a notch and add in a little color to the eyes. I tend to gravitate towards lighter colors for my eyes. For my lips – I’ve been using this liner by Charlotte Tilbury. The liner helps to keep the color on the lips lasting longer. I’ll add in one of my favorite lipsticks and top with gloss. These are definitely some of my favorite go-to products lately. The fragrance by Chanel is a refreshingly floral scent, playful yet feminine, with hints of citrus; it’s perfect for spring or summer. Tony loves when I wear it – he’ll say WOW, You smell really good!!! LOL… Who doesn’t love when their man gives a sweet compliment.
I love trying out new products and seeing what works best for my skin tone. Bare Minerals has been another one of my favorites. I have dry yet oily skin in some areas, so this is the perfect match for me. Even Tony recommends it to his patients. If you have acne prone skin this is definitely something you should try. Its dermatologist recommended. The bare minerals foundation comes in matte for oily type skin or the original if you have normal-to-dry skin. It also has buildable coverage so depending on what your preference is you can stay light or blend in more for better coverage.
My tips for getting a good glow are:
1. Make sure you’re using a clean makeup brush. I wash my make up brushes at least once every 6 weeks with shampoo then conditioner. Air dry overnight.
2. Put on a light moisturizer like this one from Clinique (see above)
3. Once the lotion has set. Apply the mineral based foundation in circular motions. Blend well.
4. Finish with a bronzer and/or blush.
