So this past weekend I made my way over to Ann Arbor. It’s about 30 minutes outside of Detroit. The beauty of living in Detroit is you have the option of so many other cities surrounding you. There is so much to do in the D, but I love exploring other places as well. Whether it be Birmingham, Royal Oak or Ann Arbor – all of these places have really adorable downtown areas. I met up with my sweet friend and fellow blogger Jihan. We always have the best time and our conversations are endless. So far we have been on the same life track lately. I’m so very grateful for our friendship. We had a lovely brunch at a French restaurant called Café Felix. Then we window shopped and talked about our blogs, goals and husbands. LOL all the good things of course. 🙂
We loved this wall mural, Ann Arbor is so artsy!
This wall was the perfect shade of orange.
This week we have a lot going on, later today my husband, Tony and I are going on a fun date night. We love tiger games and yesterday, Tony got us tickets, we have front row seats near the dugout. The stadium is literally a 10 minute walk from our loft, we’re pretty excited for the game, to walk, and enjoy this beautiful weather. We try our very best to go on dates often. Even with all that we have going on work wise. Its so important to maintain that type of fun and intimacy in your relationship. We laugh, we joke, and we get really creative. So we’ll start making plans or booking trips.
Also, we have family coming in town this weekend. My Grandma is turning 80 on Saturday, wow what a milestone! We love and adore her, and can’t wait to celebrate her this weekend. Both my family and some of my husbands family will be staying with us. We love having them over, its always the best time when we all get together. I come from a large family and so does my husband. Our homes were always entertaining and lively growing up. There was never a dull moment in my home. My grandma had 13 children. Yes 13! So that’s a lot of us. When we all get together, its always a party…It makes me sad thinking of our parents and grandparents aging. I wish they could stay how they are today, forever. But life doesn’t work that way. So its important to cherish the relationships now, because we won’t always have that chance. The time we have can never be undone.
