Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I hope you’re having an amazing day so far! We’re so excited to eat, relax, and be thankful! Grateful for God’s grace, for each other, our good health, our family and friends. We’re also grateful to God for allowing us to start our new business(es) it was a huge leap of faith. But it will all be worth it!
Posing by these really cool igloo shops. A new addition to the City!
Today, Tony and I are watching our countries 2nd oldest Thanksgiving parade! Yep, that’s right! It’s right in front of our loft, literally! Detroit has made such an amazing turnaround in the past 3 years. We’re living in a time of city revival. There’s something very special about it. All of the homes, buildings are either new, renovated, or in the process of getting built/renovated, so everything is super modern! Like this coffee shop and these cool all glass shops, that remind me of igloos! My aunt would always say “Detroit is going to make a comeback someday, just wait and see!” And oh was she right about it! She could see beauty and potential where no one else could.
We have a few neighbors from New York. The cost of living I guess is a lot more affordable here, plus you get more square footage than NYC. We’re so proud to call this city our home. Also, I’m super bummed Tony and I couldn’t head to Virginia to visit my younger brother this week. He’s hosting Thanksgiving at his new home this year and a lot of my family is there. We miss him so much! I guess that means, we’ll have to plan for it next year. Ha! Tony and I have a wedding to attend in Chicago this weekend. So we’ll be heading there tomorrow. Tony and I will do a little Black Friday shopping, and then we’re off. Speaking of shopping! There are sooo many great deals, and I put together some of my favorite finds! To help make your shopping, a little less stressful. 😉 I love you all and have a wonderful Holiday!
