I don’t really have a strict workout routine at all. I know what I like and what works best for me. My favorite workouts have always involved using weights, or a class of pure barre 0r yoga. Depending on the day I like to mix things up. Today, I started with 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical machine. If you’re short on time then I recommend at least 15 minutes on the thread meal or elliptical to get your heart rate up. Or if you want a more vigorous workout opt for 60 minutes of cardio.
Then after cardio I wanted to focus on legs and abs.
3 sets of 25 squats
Now add some weights: 3 sets of 25 lunges with weights
Next is the ab workout:
3 sets of 25 crunches on the workout ball
2 sets of 6-8 side crunches on each side
2 sets 0f 8-10 on each side – Elbow plank with arm reach. (Love this one cause it works your arms, core, and glutes.) Hold for 2 seconds on each leg lift.
I try to fit in at-least 2 sets of various ab exercises when I work out. You can always add in more if you have time and need more of a challenge. My goal is to try for 100 sits up a day. We’ll see how that goes. 🙂
